8 months

Miss Adelynn is 8 months old today! We have been thoroughly enjoying the summer and my time off. She continues to grow and amaze us everyday. She is army crawling all over the place now and is very close to being able to crawl. She is into everything! We had to get rid of our VCR because she kept sticking her hand in it, and she is fascinated by books and magazines. As soon as she sees one she hightails it across the room to get to it. She still isn't showing much interest in sitting, and we think she is going to go straight to standing! Here is her 8 month picture and some other pictures from this month.

More proof that she is just getting too big...Adelynn in her new big girl carseat. I love this thing for it's safety rating, but it is huge! (It is the Britax Boulevard Click 'n Safe) I really wanted the pink one but Babies R Us only has it online and I had an in-store only coupon, so, oh well. Hopefully this will be a little more comfortable for her on the ride up to Minnesota.

First Trip to the Zoo

Tim and I celebrated our 4th anniversary by taking Adelynn to the zoo on Friday! She did really well, although she didn't really know what was going on. Here are some pictures...

All tuckered out after a fun day...

7 months

I know I say it every month, but I seriously cannot believe I'm the mommy of a 7-month-old! I have no idea how she got this big (well, figuratively speaking!). We went in for her weight check tonight, and she gained 14 ounces in the last 3 weeks...she's now up to 13 lbs. 4 oz. Her doctor was happy with that gain and said she's doing great. She's squealing all the time and getting very close to sitting up by herself. She rolls all over and is getting into everything. Her doctor said she'll be walking soon (and then we're really in trouble!) We had a wonderful first Mother's Day together and we are looking forward to the start of my summer break in 3 weeks. From Mother's Day...

6 months...finally...

We've had an eventful 6th month so far. Adelynn had her first fever, which was a lot harder than I was expecting. She's talking and laughing non-stop now and rolling all over the place. So far we've found her under the coffee table, hugging the TV stand, and she tried to roll across daddy's dinner one night. She also loves faces, and will try to rip your nose off if she can get close enough. Her well baby check up was last week. She is now 12 pounds, 6 ounces (3rd percentile) and 24 inches (10th percentile). Her pedi is not surprised that she is small, but is having us add cereal to her bottles again for extra calories and we're bringing her back in 3 weeks for a weight check. She loves her solids, but he is also having us cut back on those to try to get her to eat more formula.

We finally managed to get her 6 month photo (more like 6 months, 2 weeks!) These also show her new favorite activity, trying to eat her feet.

We took her on her first outing to the park last weekend. She fell asleep as soon as we started walking in the beautiful weather.

Ok, I know I promised an update, but poor Miss Adelynn was really sick on Sunday and Monday...her first fever. Which, of course, sent me into a downward spiral of a full on panic attack. But she is perfect now, feeling much better. Unfortunately, now I'm sick! We still haven't been able to get her 6 month picture with all of this going on, but we'll try to this weekend. She has her 6 month check up tomorrow, so I'll try to post on Friday with her stats. Until then, here are a few new pictures to hold you over...
