Who is this big girl??

Adelynn has been very busy lately. Within the last week she has started crawling with her tummy off the floor, cruising along the couch, and is getting her second tooth. She will be walking soon, I'm sure. If you happen to see my baby, please return her ASAP!

Well, Tim did. A few nights ago he gave Adelynn some of his fudgesicle. BIG mistake. Now she's like a little scavenger every time one of us has one, begging and grunting until we give her some. Here is a video of her from tonight (make sure your sound is on...that is the new sound she makes whenever she likes what she is eating - which is everything!)

I'm sure it feels good on that tooth she has coming in. And no dad, this does not mean you can give her Dove bars!

It's a Miracle!

That's right, after 9 months Adelynn finally took a bath without crying hysterically! She actually sat there and played. We may actually have a clean child for a change!

It may not be a smile, but as long as it isn't tears, we'll take it!

Minnesota

We took Adelynn on her first trip to Minnesota last weekend to meet the rest of the family. She did a lot better in the car than we thought she would. She really only got fussy during the last hour or so. But by Sunday she looked like she wanted to slap me everytime I had to put her in the carseat. Tim and I took her into the pool at our hotel for the first time. We had some reservations, since bathtime still induces hysterics, but she did pretty good. Of course, when we tried to put her in the kiddie pool at Ava's party later that day, she completely lost it!

Happy 9 month birthday!

Adelynn is 9 months old today and I continue to be amazed each and every day at all of her new discoveries and accomplishments. She can now sit up to play, go from laying down to sitting on her own, is making some headway into finger foods (she loooooooved pancakes), can pull herself up to standing and even took a few scoots on her knees on Sunday (I wouldn't say she's crawling though...still doing that cute wounded soldier army crawl thing of hers). We go to the pedi next Thursday, and I'm hoping she will be up to at least 15 pounds now. She had a fun weekend (minus the car ride) up to Minnesota to meet her family and attend her cousin Ava's 1st birthday party. Here are her pics from this month...

8 months

Miss Adelynn is 8 months old today! We have been thoroughly enjoying the summer and my time off. She continues to grow and amaze us everyday. She is army crawling all over the place now and is very close to being able to crawl. She is into everything! We had to get rid of our VCR because she kept sticking her hand in it, and she is fascinated by books and magazines. As soon as she sees one she hightails it across the room to get to it. She still isn't showing much interest in sitting, and we think she is going to go straight to standing! Here is her 8 month picture and some other pictures from this month.

More proof that she is just getting too big...Adelynn in her new big girl carseat. I love this thing for it's safety rating, but it is huge! (It is the Britax Boulevard Click 'n Safe) I really wanted the pink one but Babies R Us only has it online and I had an in-store only coupon, so, oh well. Hopefully this will be a little more comfortable for her on the ride up to Minnesota.
